This is my version of Guiron, from the Gamera series:

Guiron was once the mighty protector of the planet Tera, a planet that remained obsure to Earth's scientist as it orbited the sun exactly opposite our planet. Unbeknownst to the human children entering the alien atmosphere, the dominant race of the planet, the Terans, had recently suffered from external sources. The raiding Space Gyaos had taken their toll on the planet, though the Teran forces fought back valiently with their own monster, Guiron. After years of turmoil, the strife of war began to take its toll on the inhabitants, monster and Teran alike. The psychological trauma of the decades long battles had warped their minds turning them into power-hungry sadists. Even the mighty Guiron suffered, his hatred towards foreign invasion overpowering his every thought. As the human boys landed, they're intrusion was not met with welcome. Gamera, protector of Earth's children arrived and soon battles ranging from planet Tera to planet Earth took place. Gamera eventually overpowered the knife-headed giant, sending his bloodthirsty soul from whence it came. Perhaps though, if the Teran people were ever threatened again, Guiron would rise from the ashes, ready to take up the charge once again, much as Gamera has done for Earth.

Guiron's Powers come from his brutish body. His intense physical strength allows him to wield his sword-like head with great proficiency, and allows his body to make tremendous leaps. The shuriken-like missiles that form on either side of Guiron's head are formed of the same, metal like substance that composes the creatures head. A buildup of pressure behind the projectiles allows the monster to fire them with accurate presicion. If all the missiles are lost, they are organic and over time, Guiron's body will produce a new set.

So that's it. I rather like Guiron's almost rediculous design as well as his role as "protector". I wanted him to seem a little more like a defender than a maruader, so I invented the whole sadism thing. I couldn't help but put the decapitated Gyaos head in there... because it's awesome.
